
SDET / Automation Test Engineer (Python – Robot Framework) (Bloomington)

We are seeking a skilled
SDET / Automation Test Engineer
to design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks using
Python and Robot Framework . The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with QA, Development, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure high‑quality, scalable test automation solutions across UI, API, and performance testing.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using
Python and Robot Framework
Develop and execute automated test scripts for
web applications across multiple browsers
Implement best practices such as
Page Object Model (POM), Data‑Driven, and Hybrid frameworks
Perform
automation feasibility analysis
and identify suitable test cases for automation
Execute
API automation and validation , alongside UI automation where required
Conduct
performance testing
using tools such as
JMeter
Integrate automated test suites into
CI/CD pipelines
(e.g., Jenkins, Git)
Analyze automation failures, perform
root cause analysis , and report defects clearly
Participate in
Agile ceremonies , code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor junior automation engineers and contribute to process and quality improvements
Required Qualifications
Strong expertise in
Robot Framework , including keywords, libraries, and custom keyword development
Proficiency in
Python
for automation and framework enhancements
Hands‑on experience with
Selenium (Python)
for UI automation
Experience with
API testing , preferably using
JMeter
Knowledge of
Database validation
techniques
Experience with
Hybrid, Data‑Driven, and POM automation frameworks
Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
such as Jenkins and Git
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in
Agile / Scrum environments
Exposure to cloud‑based test execution or containerized environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
