We’re partnering with a large, global organization to identify a
Director of External Reporting & Compliance
to lead a highly visible financial reporting function.
This role sits at the intersection of
SEC reporting, technical accounting, and global compliance , with direct exposure to executive leadership and strategic initiatives.
The Opportunity
This position will own the company’s
external reporting and regulatory compliance function , ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial disclosures across a complex global footprint.
You’ll play a key leadership role driving reporting quality, advising on technical accounting matters, and supporting evolving requirements around
regulatory and sustainability reporting .
Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation and review of
external financial filings
(10-K, 10-Q, etc.)
Oversee
financial statements, footnotes, and disclosure narratives (MD&A)
Ensure compliance with
U.S. GAAP and global reporting requirements
Partner with Investor Relations and FP&A on
earnings and external messaging
Manage
external audit processes
related to reporting and disclosures
Oversee
global statutory reporting alignment
across international entities
Support reporting for
capital markets activity and complex transactions
Monitor evolving
regulatory and ESG reporting requirements
and guide implementation
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Operations
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing reporting team
What They’re Looking For
CPA required
~8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong background in
SEC reporting and technical accounting
Big 4 experience strongly preferred
Experience in
complex, global environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting
Strong communication skills with executive presence
