About the role
As a Connectivity Engineer you will be the on‑site expert at our client’s factory, serving as the primary point of contact for all connectivity‑related issues. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless equipment connections and network structural cabling works. While you won’t configure devices directly, your deep understanding of network operations will be crucial for troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
Job Responsibilities
Participate or lead in managing the IT network, telecommunication, and local on‑prem server infrastructure duties.
Approx. 70% network, 20% server, and 10% other IT infrastructure responsibilities.
Collaborate on creating logical network designs and physical layouts of network and server infrastructure.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of security patching schedules and policies for network and hosting equipment.
Proactive monitoring of network status and capacity.
Participate in IT infrastructure operations and escalations to ensure availability and performance of network, telecommunication, and hosting.
Work with network, telecommunication, on‑prem server infrastructure and data cabling providers on operational issues.
Lead or participate in IT infrastructure global and local project coordination and execution in alignment with local and global guidelines.
Coordinate operations with local IT service vendors and partners.
Requirements (competence, experience and education)
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, preferably with a network/hosting engineering focus (not required if studying similar field).
Min. 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure network, telco domain or equivalent.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (network and hosting) hardware.
Experience with networks, telecommunication, server, and virtualization (Hyper‑V).
Experience or understanding of Cisco network (LAN, WLAN, WAN) infrastructure.
Experience with network segregation (VLANs) implementation or management.
Experience with IT service management (ITIL); SNOW experience a plus.
Understanding of network security with security policy implementation (Cisco, Palo Alto).
Ability to create network and hosting diagrams and documentation (HLD, LLD) and technical standards.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate cross‑functionally with global, internal, and external partners.
Self‑starter able to work independently but comfortable in a team environment.
Knowledge in budget and project management.
CCNA certification preferred; other networking, server, firewall certificates a plus.
Pay Range: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour.
