Position Title
Design and Operations Strategist for Honors & Undergraduate Research
Summary
Provides administrative support in the Office of Honors and Undergraduate Research and assists with day-to-day operations. Helps to promote and coordinate unit programs and events. Assists with the development and maintenance of program and office promotional materials.
Responsibilities
Honors Inbox monitoring
Information dissemination (e.g., event sign-ups, Canvas Monday Mashups/opportunity postings/materials and end of semester reflection updates)
Data gathering/analysis (e.g., cohort program requirements)
Instagram oversight/approvals
Cohort management phone calls
Event sign-ins
Honors contract management
Attends editorial team meetings for the Journal for Research in Progress
Interacts with students/visitors to answer questions and provide information
Provides administrative support for special Honors and Undergraduate Research projects
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Required
Associate's degree
Experience Required
Associate's degree in education, sociology, business, or a related field and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to administration
Exceptional organizational skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software applications
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to prioritize and effectively work on concurrent projects and tasks
Ability to use own initiative to identify and deal with issues as they arise
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Regular attendance is a requirement of this job
Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity
