FX Execution Trader - New York (New York)

Job Overview
We are seeking an FX Execution Trader with 2+ years of experience in FX options to join our trading team. Rather than supporting the desk, the successful candidate will actively operate our electronic options platform, focusing on error free execution, process automation and expanding the platform. The candidate will be expected to quickly manage high volumes independently in a fast-paced environment. The role will be in office in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
• Execution: Price and execute FX options with a focus on speed and accuracy. • Client Management: communicate continuously with clients on interests and flow. • OMS: Own the process of monitoring all client orders from entry to settlement. • Process improvement: Identify manual steps and bottlenecks in processes and work to automate them. • Risk and Compliance: Take full responsibility for trade confirmations. Coordinate with middle and back office to resolve any trade discrepancies immediately.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in FX markets, specifically in FX options.
• Product Knowledge: Clear understanding of vanilla FX derivatives.
• Systems: Proven experience of using OMS/EMS platforms to manage live order flow, trade lifecycle and order management. Familiarity with trade automation. Programming knowledge and software deployment is a plus.
• Communication: Ability to clearly communicate in a fast-moving environment, holding more than one conversation at the same time.

• Operational accuracy: Defining a process that aims for a zero-error rate.
• Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple orders and clients simultaneously.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to quickly identify and fix systems or data issues. An understanding of when to escalate issues.
• Client Contact: Ability to interact with clients to generate new business and maintain good relationships.
• Performance: The ability to use quieter times on important but not urgent tasks, and to switch to being able to focus and perform accurately during fast markets.
Remuneration and benefits
• Base Salary: 100k-120k USD, commensurate with experience.
• Bonus: Discretionary bonus strongly linked to ability to increase client flow via acquisition and retainment.
