Information Technology Program Manager (Columbia)

Our client is seeking to hire an IT Program Manager for a contract to hire position in Columbia SC! If you are a seasoned Program Manager who is familiar and comfortable running very large scale projects, and would like to work for one of the largest IT employers in SC, this may be the job for you!

This is a hybrid role that will require 3 days/week onsite. Candidates must be local or within a comfortable commuting distance and okay with working on site in Columbia office. Interview will be onsite in Columbia, SC office.

Authorized US Worker required (US Citizen, Green Card, EAD). No C2C or 3rd party candidates apply.

What you will do in this role:
Managing and updating the program schedule in Microsoft Project, ensuring task dependencies, resource allocations, milestone progress, and critical path impacts are accurately maintained.
Facilitates program ceremonies and team syncs through Microsoft Teams, capturing key actions, decisions, and risks while keeping business and IT stakeholders aligned.
Maintains essential program documentation in SharePoint, status reports, intake materials, and governance artifacts. They refresh and validate Power BI dashboards to provide leadership with clear visibility into progress, KPIs, budget performance, timelines, and risk indicators.
Coordinate workflow activities in Power Automate by reviewing demand items and monitoring change requests for accuracy and status.
Although not required the role can also involve using Visio or similar tools to create process diagrams, workflows, or visual aids that support clarity across leadership and cross-functional teams.
Education/Experience required:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job-related work experience.
Required Work Experience: 7 years’ IT experience in Program/Project Management capacity, including 4 years leading multiple concurrent project teams as a Program Manager
Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power BI
Nice to Have skills:
Power Automate (workflow automation for notifications, approvals, and reminders)
ServiceNow (demand intake, change management, and operational tracking)
Visio (process flows, diagrams, and dependency mapping)
SDLC (Experience managing projects through a full SDLC lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post implementation support)
