Overview Seeking to hire a skilled Network Administrator Consultant who will act as a point of reference for the Network Operations Center team on technical issues. While reporting to the Network Operations Center Manager, you will work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems, making recommendations, and implementing changes with little to no supervision. In alignment with organization's standards, this position contributes advanced technical expertise to support and strengthen daily NOC operations.
This is an onsite position in Columbia SC with potential travel to other field office locations using a company vehicle. Candidates must be local or must be able to relocate to the area prior to starting the role.
This is a W2 direct hire contract position, No C2C or third party candidates, please.
Responsibilities Daily duties include managing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a statewide network infrastructure built upon a foundation of various solutions, such as Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Certes, and Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix technologies.
The Sr. Network Engineer will be proactive in their approach to monitor network performance, ensure efficient communication across the network, review and improve security compliance through cybersecurity best practices, and implement updates or changes to maintain optimal connectivity and secure version compliance.
Perform the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking products.
Troubleshoot network failures and identify network problems.
Network analysis, design, installation, configuration, and support.
Maintain network diagrams and other network documentation.
Provide configuration, troubleshooting and problem resolution support.
Troubleshoot and remediate issues in a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure
Required Skills/Education 10+ years of experience with Cisco firewalls
10+ years of experience with Cisco routers
10+ years of experience with Cisco switches
10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN
10+ years of experience with Cisco administration
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls
5+ years of experience with Palo Alto XDR
Preferred Skills 10+ years of experience with knowledge of monitoring and tracing tools
10+ years of experience in core network architecture
10+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, routing, and switching
4+ years of experience with wireless networks
3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure
