Due to continued growth, an innovative technology company is seeking an
Engineering Technician (E/M Technician)
to join its team in Austin. This organization is recognized for delivering advanced systems within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where employees play a direct role in building cutting-edge solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prototype and production assembly of electro-mechanical systems
Build and assemble control cabinets
Perform wiring and cable fabrication, including cable harness assemblies
Construct and complete final assembly of test systems
Install printed circuit boards (PCBs)
Produce electronic assemblies for testing applications
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and system-level issues
Execute general electronic and technical tasks
Conduct measurement, testing, and commissioning of electronic devices
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associate’s degree (AA) in Electronics, vocational training, or equivalent military/work experience
At least 1+ years of relevant electro-mechanical technician experience
Basic soldering skills and computer proficiency
Experience with cable harness assemblies
Experience with sub-assemblies and final system assemblies
Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Must be able to pass a background check
PREFERRED/BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
Experience with LabVIEW, EPLAN, or Autodesk Inventor
RF equipment experience (SMA experience highly beneficial)
Experience with test instrumentation systems
Basic fabrication skills (drill press, band saw)
Experience working with high voltage systems (up to 1000V)
Electronic certifications such as IPC, CET, ISO
Equipment certifications (forklift, pallet jacks)
