Overview
Large Northbrook based automotive manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision machining is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector.
Responsibilities
Choose and check calibration of inspection equipment to be used. Gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
Inspect first part against each measurement as indicated on print. Verify acceptable tolerance. Indicate completed inspection on corresponding inspection record.
Complete all other paperwork, including inspection records, associated with position.
Contributes to team, company and QS goals by initiating continuous improvement, accomplishing related results as required and working effectively with other employees and departments.
Receives, understands and follows all written and oral instruction.
Timely completion of all paperwork associated with position including move tags
Ability to perform First Piece Inspection, PPAP Layout, incoming and final inspection
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, Profilometer, height gages, test indicators, fit gages
Understand types of measurement, measurement terminology, and the types and differences of standard measurement instruments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major, minor characteristics
Qualifications
Strong communication and team building skills a must!
Compensation & Benefits
$20-$30 per hour.
