The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to work at the forefront of Machine Learning and AI. In this role, you will work directly with customers to design, evangelize, implement, and scale AI/ML solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives, driving customer success through their AI transformation journey.


Key Responsibilities



  • Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AI/ML solutions on AWS, including selecting and fine‑tuning appropriate models for specific use cases.

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and generative AI applications that solve real‑world business problems, conduct experiments, and optimize performance at scale.

  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to identify high‑value AI/ML use cases, gather requirements, and propose effective implementation strategies.

  • Provide technical guidance on responsible and cost‑efficient application of AI and generative AI, troubleshoot throughout project delivery and ensure adherence to best practices.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on the latest AI/ML advancements and innovative approaches to leveraging diverse data sources.

  • Mentor and train teammates, create reusable AI/ML artifacts, and work with the organization to prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility.


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with machine learning/statistical modeling, data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Experience in professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle (coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, operational excellence).

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree or above in STEM.

  • Experience working on multi‑team, cross‑disciplinary projects.

  • Experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems and make data‑driven decisions.

  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application to reasoning and problem‑solving.

  • Experience defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance.

  • Experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL, and API development for building and deploying AI/ML solutions.

  • Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and generative AI frameworks.
