Assistant Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor in Emerging Technology in Business and Design is a full‑time on‑campus faculty position focused on teaching and service.
Job Description
This position will teach courses, including but not limited to digital marketing, web analytics, user experience, and senior project courses; develop curricula; provide service to the University; advise students; lead client‑based projects; and help lead co‑curricular activities and student organizations. The candidate also has the opportunity to be actively involved with the Center for Research in User Experience (CRUX), using a wide range of technologies—including eye tracking, galvanic skin response, and facial expression analysis—to better understand how users interact with screen‑based stimuli and images. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about the effects of new technologies on marketing processes and able to prepare students to enter a rapidly changing technology‑based industry.
Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree (e.g., M.F.A. or Ph.D.) in a related discipline required by the date of appointment for appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor.
Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of tested experience in a related discipline needed by date of appointment for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.
Consideration may be given to candidates with a record of quality teaching, industry experience, student advising, assistance in developing career‑ready portfolios, and university service, or service to the profession.
