Overview
Apogee has exciting opportunities for Systems Engineers (Subject Matter Expert) to support the M-Code Aviation Receivers Joint Program Office (MAR JPO) at Warner Robins AFB, GA. These positions support GPS User Equipment modernization programs, including MAGR-2K, EGI, R-EGI, and weapons integration with M-Code capability.
These are full-time positions located at Warner Robins Air Force Base (AFB).
Responsibilities
- Perform technical/mission analyses of operational requirements and develop system concepts
- Conduct technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs
- Draft project documentation including SOOs, SOWs, program plans, schedules, and presentations
- Review and analyze technical proposals for cost, design feasibility, and system compatibility
- Provide rapid response engineering service for critical supportability problems
- Draft regulatory and statutory documentation including Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs)
- Review contractor documents and data, provide technical comments
- Support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, and life-cycle cost analyses
- Evaluate Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and cost estimates
- Participate in systems, subsystems, and component testing
- Provide systems/subsystems integration support for acquisition and development
- Support weapons integration with M-Code capability
- Conduct trade studies for MGUE Source of Supply and Open Architecture
- Support platform integration and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
- Evaluate contractor test plans and results for system verification
- Support Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and production planning
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) best practices
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field
Years of Experience: 15 years of systems engineering experience in DoD, with at least 5 years in DoD
Additional Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems, navigation, and PNT
- Experience with weapons systems and precision-guided munitions preferred
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes per IEEE 15288/EIA 632
- Experience with requirements management and MBSE tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
Education: Master's or Doctorate Degree in Engineering or related technical field
Years of Experience: 12 years of systems engineering experience in DoD, with at least 5 years in DoD
