Hospital-based NICU coverage at two facilities
Responsibilities:
Provide neonatal care at Carilion Clinic Children s Hospital (60-bed regional perinatal center) and Lewis Gale Medical Center (6-bed Level II NICU)
Serve as NICU Medical Director or Associate Medical Director with oversight of clinical and operational performance
Manage advanced neonatal therapies including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide
Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, maternal-fetal medicine, and pediatric surgery teams
Participate in education and mentoring of medical students and residents
Engage in quality improvement and research initiatives
Provide day coverage with on-call and weekend responsibilities

Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Neonatology
Active Virginia license or willingness to obtain
DEA prior to start
NPDB Self Query within 30 days
Clean malpractice/license history preferred
Must reside locally or willing to relocate
J1 visa support available (J1 only)
Neonatal leadership experience required for Medical Director role
