The Art Handler is responsible forthe handling, packing, transportation, and installation of fine art and high-value items. This role requires precision, care, and experience working with delicate and valuable pieces in both local and interstate environments.
Key Responsibilities
Pack, handle, transport, and install fine art, antiques, and high-value furniture
Perform collections and deliveries locally and across state lines
Complete condition reports and maintain accurate documentation
Load and unload trucks using proper equipment and handling techniques
Prepare and verify daily shipment details using manifests and trip sheets
Ensure all items are handled safely and securely to prevent damage
Assist with installations and on-site projects
Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe working condition
Requirements Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of experience in art handling, moving, or high-value logistics
Experience packing and installing fine art or fragile items
Familiarity with inventory processes and condition reporting
Comfortable using equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and lift gear
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
Ability to lift 70+ lbs and move large items safely
