About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to join our team. The position is permanent and full‑time, with an expected start date of 1 September 2026 and orientation during the final week of August.

Teach visual arts to students in grades 6‑12, with an emphasis on drawing and painting.

Plan and deliver a range of studio art courses that encourage creativity, technical skill, and artistic confidence.

Take on faculty duties as assigned.

Collaborate with the Department Chair and report to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for STEAM.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Strong studio art skills across multiple media, particularly drawing and painting.

Experience designing engaging, differentiated instruction for diverse learners, including students with language‑based learning differences.

Effective classroom management and strong communication skills.

Commitment to best practices in teaching, including educational technology.

Valuing collaboration, diversity, equity and inclusion, and upholding safeguarding responsibilities.
