Metropolitan Day Habilitation is a skill building program where people with developmental and intellectual disabilities receive training for daily living skills, such as communication and self‑preservation, community awareness, independent living and pre‑vocational skills. It has been open since 2002 and currently serves 29 people. They are interested in creating a volunteer‑led creative art class. The medium of choice is up to the volunteer whether it be painting, drawing, or even clay!
Responsibilities
Teach a creative art class appropriate for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities; art medium is flexible.
Preferred Skills
Have experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Artistic experience
Teaching experience

Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age: 18+
