The Arts & Crafts Camp Leader is a vital team member dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and enriching camp experience for children in grades K–6. Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, this role leads creative activities, supervises campers, and fosters a positive, supportive environment where every child can express themselves.
Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision to campers (K–6th grade) to ensure safety and well-being
Plan and implement engaging arts and crafts activities
Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence
Prepare, organize, and maintain program supplies and materials
Keep activity areas clean, safe, and organized
Build positive, professional relationships with campers and parents
Model YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
Qualifications
Experience working with school-age children
Background or strong interest in art, crafts, or creative programming
Strong communication and classroom/group management skills
Ability to manage multiple children in an active camp setting
Energetic, patient, creative, and team-oriented
