Are you a dynamic, results-driven BDM with extensive experience in transit technology?
The team are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth strategy across the West Coast of the United States. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities with public transit agencies, municipalities, and strategic partners.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of B2G sales, strong relationship management skills, and a passion for transportation innovation.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:
Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities across California, Washington, Oregon, and other Western states.
Cultivate long-term relationships with public transportation authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Understand customer pain points and align the solutions to meet their operational and strategic goals.
Coordinate RFP responses in collaboration with pre-sales engineers, legal, and technical teams.
Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Represent the team at regional and national trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
Requirements of the Business Development Manager include:
Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in B2G or transportation technology
Experience selling complex technical solutions (e.g., ITS, fare collection, smart mobility)
Existing network within West Coast transit agencies or municipal governments
Familiarity with FTA funding and procurement cycles
Willingness to travel up to 50% within the West Coast region
This role will require some travel to visit clients across the West Coast of the USA
This is a key role for the team and they are offering $120,000 on the base, with a lucrative and realistic commission plan on top. Wider benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k.
