Audio Visual Technician Position Overview We’re looking for a skilled and motivated AV Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing and supporting commercial audiovisual systems in a variety of environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about delivering high-quality installations that meet client expectations. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform installation tasks as noted in job summary based on project scope and directives.
Mount screens, projectors, displays, lifts, speakers, and other AV equipment to walls, ceilings, and structural supports.
Assemble and load AV equipment into racks, cabinets, and furniture.
Run, terminate, and label cabling through walls, ceilings, floors, and other building structures.
Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other installation system related tasks.
Collaborate with supervisor and team members to ensure systems are installed correctly and on schedule.
Test point to point cabling and functionality of systems.
Track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite.
Travel to various job sites required.
Other duties assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications Educational and Experience requirements include:
Proven experience installing commercial audiovisual systems, electronics, or related equipment.
Familiarity with major commercial AV manufacturers such as Crestron, JBL, Extron, Biamp, Barco, etc.
Experience installing flat panel displays, projectors and projector screens.
Industry or manufacturer-specific training/certifications are a plus.
Ability to lift 50-80 lbs.
Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company driving standards.
Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues.
Basic computer knowledge.
Working knowledge of industry safety codes and installation standards.
