Rentex Audio Visual & Computer Rentals, Orlando, FL, United States
Canton/Orlando/Chicago/Dallas/Las Vegas preferred • Schedule: Full-time; participates in 24/7 support
Why this role exists (and why it is fun)
At Rentex, we like our audio gear show‑ready and our teams set up for success. The National Product Coordinator (Audio) works shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the National Product Manager to keep quality high, solve problems fast, and make sure our inventory and documentation keep pace with the show calendar. If you enjoy a tidy QC checklist, a clean signal path, and helping people win the day, this role will feel like music to your ears.
What you will do (Duties & Responsibilities)
Audio Operations & Collaboration:
Collaborate daily with the National Product Manager of Audio to assist with day‑to‑day tasks and longer‑term projects.
Provide technical support to end users as part of the Rentex 24/7 support system.
Assist with monitoring inventory nationally to ensure equipment in need of repair or replacement is serviced and returned to active inventory quickly.
Assist with locating economical parts from reputable suppliers needed for product repairs.
Assist with new inventory assimilation into the Rentex inventory control system (asset IDs, kits, barcodes).
Help keep QC guides up to date and create guides for new Audio gear purchased.
Actively update and adjust substitutions and accessories as new products are added to inventory.
Quality Control & Repairs:
Support quality control standards for Audio SKUs; help maintain clear pass/fail criteria in guides.
Assist in managing and executing repairs: triage, parts allocation, RMA coordination, test and return‑to‑service notes.
Training & Documentation:
Deliver or coordinate product training (internal and external) on setup, best practices, and common gotchas.
Maintain quick‑start guides, signal flow diagrams, and firmware/known issues notes.
Communication & Cross-Team Support:
Partner with warehouse techs, sales support, and operations to keep shows on track.
Provide clear, timely updates in tickets and chats; escalate appropriately when risk increases.
What great looks like (Success Metrics)
Repair turnaround time and aging RMA counts trend down; more assets back in circulation faster.
Support responsiveness improves: strong first‑contact resolution and helpful documentation links.
Inventory readiness: new SKUs are fully onboarded (kits, subs, accessories, guides) before first deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience with the allocation of parts to repair audio equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors for parts and accessories purchases.
3–5 years of audio‑visual experience with audio systems.

Comfort with inventory/asset systems and barcoding workflows.
Relevant certifications such as Dante Level 2+, manufacturer trainings, or CTS/CTS‑I.
Ability to travel occasionally to major hubs.
Work Style & Tools
