Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with tool and die machinists to learn and support tooling, mold, and manufacturing processes
Assist in the design, modification, and improvement of mechanical components, tooling, and molds
Support foundry-related activities, including casting processes, mold design considerations, and material selection
Create and update engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability
Troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing issues alongside engineering and shop‑floor personnel
Follow established safety, quality, and engineering standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience (internship or co‑op experience may be considered)
Basic knowledge of foundry operations, metal casting processes, and casting molds
Willingness and ability to work hands‑on in a manufacturing environment
Strong interest in learning from experienced tool and die machinists
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Basic proficiency with Siemens NX software
Portfolio of past projects available for review and discussion during interview process
