Heritage Christian School is a dynamic, K3‑12 Christian school located in Cleveland, Ohio. Heritage Christian School is a ministry of Cleveland Baptist Church. Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Secondary History teacher at Heritage Christian School in Cleveland, OH. The history teacher will be responsible for teaching 9th grade Geography, 10th grade World History, 11th grade U.S. History, and 12th grade Government and Economics.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in history education or related field preferred
Teaching experience is a plus
Must be a born‑again believer
Must be dedicated to train young people with a biblical worldview
Must agree with the doctrinal position, mission, purpose, and philosophy of Heritage Christian School
Must attend, join, tithe and serve at Cleveland Baptist Church or be already involved with another church of like faith in the area
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Follow and effectively teach the assigned curriculum
Maintain adequate classroom records of grades, attendance, and behavior using the FACTS student information system
Attend and participate in scheduled meetings, parent/teacher conferences, programs, plays, and other school and church events
Plan effectively to complete course materials
Submit lesson plans each week using the FACTS student information system
Maintain a clean and orderly classroom where students obey and demonstrate respect
Supervise students in chapel, cafeteria, study hall, etc.
