New Life Christian School exists to develop Christian World Changers who are rooted in faith, committed to service, and dedicated to academic excellence. Position Description
New Life Christian School is seeking a qualified, passionate Middle/High School History teacher to teach students in grades 7-12. This educator will deliver engaging lessons in history, including world history, U.S. history, civics, and historical analysis, while fostering critical thinking and a deep understanding of past events and their impact on the present. The teacher will also integrate biblical truths and a Christian worldview into the curriculum, helping students evaluate history through the lens of faith.

Believe and actively support the school's statement of faith
Actively participate in a local Bible-believing church
Motivate students to accept God's gift of salvation, be a Christian witness and role model to them, and help them grow in their faith
Educational Qualities
Bachelor's degree in History/Social Studies Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)
State or ACSI teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification) preferred
Experience teaching middle and/or high school History preferred
Strong knowledge of history content, historical analysis, and social studies standards
Ability to design engaging lessons that support academic excellence

Commitment to Christian education and the mission of New Life Christian School
Patience, flexibility, and a heart for working with students
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Professional demeanor, integrity, and strong communication skills

Physical Demands
The school is a multi-level facility, which requires the teacher to negotiate flights of stairs regularly and walk around the buildings and grounds for supervision.
Candidates must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, operate office equipment with dexterity, and lift at least 25 pounds.
Occasionally, the teacher must work longer hours than a typical day for events such as back-to-school night, parent-teacher conferences, team meetings, open houses, graduation, or other evening meetings/functions.
