Position Summary
Trinity Christian School is seeking a knowledgeable and faith-driven Part-Time High School Physical Science Teacher to join our faculty. This position is responsible for delivering engaging instruction in Physical Science while integrating a
Biblical worldview
that helps students understand and appreciate God’s design in the natural world. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a foundational understanding of scientific principles in a Christ-centered classroom environment.
Employment Details
Position Type:
Part-Time
Schedule:
Based on assigned teaching sections (typically within school hours of 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
Contract Length:
10 months (August through May)
Key Responsibilities
Teach high school Physical Science courses, including topics such as physics and chemistry fundamentals with minimal math
Integrate a Biblical worldview into science instruction, emphasizing God’s order and design in creation
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and demonstrations that promote hands‑on learning
Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, collaboration and respect
Assess student understanding through quizzes, tests and projects
Provide timely feedback and maintain clear communication with students and parents
Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance and student progress
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success and school initiatives
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development as appropriate for part-time staff
Support the mission and values of Trinity Christian School in all interactions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field
Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
Prior high school teaching experience preferred
Strong understanding of Physical Science concepts and minor algebraic math
Commitment to integrating faith and learning from a Biblical perspective
Strong communication, organization and classroom management skills
A personal and active Christian faith consistent with the mission of the school

Passion for mentoring students academically and spiritually
Flexibility and adaptability in a part-time role
Strong relational skills with students, parents and colleagues
