Purpose Statement
The High School Teacher plays a meaningful role in shaping students' minds and hearts. This position goes beyond teaching; it’s about inspiring, encouraging, and disciplining students as they grow academically and spiritually. Through Christ-centered instruction and intentional relationships, the teacher helps students discover their God-given potential and equips them to live out their faith.
Scope
In this role, you’ll create a classroom where curiosity is sparked, faith is nurtured, and every child feels seen and supported. You’ll work closely with students, families, and fellow staff to cultivate both academic excellence and spiritual growth, contributing to a vibrant and mission-driven school culture.
What You’ll Do
Live out and model Christ-like character in both words and actions
Plan and deliver engaging, biblically integrated lessons each week
Create a classroom environment where students thrive academically and spiritually
Build strong, meaningful partnerships with parents through clear and consistent communication
Stay connected and responsive to school communications
Support students’ academic, emotional, and spiritual needs with care and intention
Participate in staff devotions, meetings, and professional growth opportunities
Be part of school events that strengthen the community with students and families
Maintain accurate and organized student records
Prepare progress reports, report cards, and manage grades (FACTS or similar system)
Naturally weave Scripture and a biblical worldview into daily teaching
Foster a classroom culture of both grace and accountability
Differentiate instruction to meet a variety of learning needs
Monitor and celebrate student growth and development
Keep your classroom organized, welcoming, and engaging
Uphold school policies and model expectations for students
Keep a ready-to-go substitute folder
Steward classroom resources thoughtfully
Jump in with a servant’s heart to support additional needs as they arise

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in High School Education (required)
Florida Teaching Certification (preferred or in progress)
Ongoing commitment to professional development
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Occasional evenings or weekends for school events and special activities
