Satellite Operations Engineer (Teleport Engineering) / Satellite Engineer – Satellite Engineer
Location: Andover, ME (100% Onsite)
Duration: 24+ Months
Pay: $45-48/HR
The Role: Hands‑on satellite engineering - RF theory, antenna operations, and physical hardware maintenance. Not a traditional networking role; CCNA/CCNP are secondary to satellite experience.
Requirements
3-5 years satellite communications experience
RF/KU‑C band knowledge; familiarity with HPAs, SSPAs, spectrum analyzers
Military (strategic) background a strong plus
Bachelor's degree optional with sufficient experience
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain six 13‑meter antenna systems
Hands‑on mechanical upkeep (oiling, greasing, physical maintenance)
Support SCES collocation project equipment installs
Schedule
4O10 rotating shifts (Day / Swing / Midshift) across a 24/7 facility. First 2 months on days for training.
Interview
Single video interview with Senior Manager – covers satellite fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, and work ethic.
