We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our field production team, drive operational excellence, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Position Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for leading the execution of residential remodeling projects from pre‑construction through completion. This role oversees production planning, resource allocation, team leadership, budgeting oversight, and operational performance across multiple concurrent projects.

This leader will manage Project Managers and carpentry staff while driving accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement across the production department.

Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership & Execution

Oversee execution of 30-50 residential remodeling projects annually ($10K-$800K range; avg ~$110K)

Ensure projects meet standards for quality, budget, schedule, and client experience

Monitor labor productivity and material performance benchmarks

Track cost‑to‑complete and support WIP reviews

Maintain the master production calendar and forward planning

Team Leadership & Development

Directly manage 2 Project Managers and 5-7 carpenters

Hire, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable

Assign PMs and carpentry staff to projects strategically

Conduct weekly production meetings

Provide performance feedback and development planning

Coordinate ongoing training and skill development

Planning & Operational Management

Collaborate with Project Development to fully scope projects in JobTread

Review budgets, schedules, and production plans

Monitor procurement planning and labor allocation

Track KPIs and production metrics

Identify risks early and implement corrective actions

Financial & Process Oversight

Ensure adherence to project budgets and contracts

Support estimating and cost analysis

Oversee the change order process and approvals

Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

Leadership & Culture

Participate in weekly leadership meetings

Contribute to strategic planning and departmental improvement

Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and professionalism

Communicate clearly and transparently across teams

Ideal Candidate Profile

5+ years of proven experience in residential construction production or operations

Strong background in managing multiple concurrent projects

Experience leading Project Managers and field teams

Excellent planning, organization, and problem‑solving skills

Strong financial acumen and budget management experience

Ability to anticipate issues and drive solutions proactively

Comfortable working with high‑end clientele

Collaborative, accountable, and people‑focused leadership style

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $105,000 - $125,000

Total Compensation Range: $95,000 - $140,000, depending on performance and company results

Performance bonus tied to GP, customer satisfaction, quality, and schedule performance

Additional year‑end bonus potential
