Read prints, job folders, and plan the best way to run the job
Dial in tooling, speeds, and offsets for best performance
Inspect parts to make sure they meet tight tolerances
Troubleshoot issues and improve the process as you go
Make smart NC code edits when needed
Keep jobs running on time and within expected cycle times

Bottom line: You own the process from setup to stable production.

    Primary Strategic Responsibilities
Think ahead and set up jobs for lights-out machining when possible
Look for ways to improve cycle time, tooling, and setups
Share ideas to make processes better, faster, and more reliable
Help train and support other machinists when needed
Keep your work area clean and organized

    What Success Looks Like
Setups run clean, stable, and repeatable
Parts pass inspection the first time
    Machines stay running
    Your ideas improve the process

  • Strong understanding of multi-axis machining and setup techniques

  • Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
