KMM Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist - Mill-Turn (Set Up/Operator) to join our manufacturing team.
You will set up, and run multi-axis Mill-Turn machines to make complex, tight-tolerance parts. This is not a "push button" role - you will think through setups, tooling, and process flow to get the best results. You'll work with different materials, solve problems, modify programs for improvement, and help improve how we run jobs every day.

KMM Group is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist - Mill-Turn (Set Up/Operator) to join our manufacturing team.
You will set up, and run multi-axis Mill-Turn machines to make complex, tight-tolerance parts. You'll work with different materials, solve problems, modify programs for improvement, and help improve how we run jobs every day.

What You'll Do:
Primary Tactical Responsibilities:
Set up and run multi-axis Mill-Turn machines (2-11 axis)
Read prints, job folders, and plan the best way to run the job
Dial in tooling, speeds, and offsets for best performance
Inspect parts to make sure they meet tight tolerances
Troubleshoot issues and improve the process as you go
Make smart NC code edits when needed
Keep jobs running on time and within expected cycle times
Bottom line: You own the process from setup to stable production.
Primary Strategic Responsibilities
Think ahead and set up jobs for lights-out machining when possible
Look for ways to improve cycle time, tooling, and setups
Share ideas to make processes better, faster, and more reliable
Help train and support other machinists when needed
Keep your work area clean and organized

Setups run clean, stable, and repeatable
Parts pass inspection the first time
Machines stay running
Your ideas improve the process
What You Bring:
Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience (mill-turn environment preferred)- Strong understanding of multi-axis machining and setup techniques
- Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with equipment such as DMG Mori (NLX, NZX series) preferred
- High school diploma required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality (98%+ yield targets)
- Problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
