*Job Summary*We are seeking a NYS licensed Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a customer-focused, positive attitude.This crucial role will ensure an exceptional eye care experience, assisting patients in selecting eyewear and lenses, adjusting and dispensing eyewear, and verifying prescription accuracy.This position requires a blend of clinical knowledge and retail experience to enhance patient satisfaction and promote eye health.*Duties** Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear, from economical to fashion and designer frames.* Measure, adjust and dispense frames accurately. Keep accurate notes and order details to ensure smooth and efficient patient experience.* Maintain knowledge of current eyewear trends, lens options, and frame styles to effectively advise patients.* Utilize clinic systems for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and processing orders.* Collaborate with healthcare providers and colleagues to provide a positive patient experience.*Skills** Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members alike.* Experience with medical scheduling software or EHR, like Eyefinity and Acuity Logic for example.* Willingness to learn from team members and support others in areas outside of your immediate role; answering phones, scheduling appointments, and administrative tasks.* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Join our dedicated Team here at our independent practice.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
