Medical Device Design Technician

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Design Technician, Medical Devices with our medical device client in Mounds View, MN. This is a 24-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00/hr ;W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing and field service operations.
Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD, CAM, CATIA, ProEngineer, Solidworx or Siemens NX Software.
Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.
Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Requires a High School Diploma and 8+ years of relevant experience with: Mechanical & product design (CAD/CAM: SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, ProEngineer)
3D printing experience
Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing & tooling teams
Technical documentation, sketches & design proposals
Problem-solving & analytical thinking for complex systems
Medical Device industry experience
Nice to have skills: Tooling
