Manager, Contracts & Compliance

Responsibilities:

Draft, revise and negotiate contracts with Global Industrial’s vendors and customers (commercial and government).

Manage a portfolio of contracts with Global Industrial’s customers (commercial and government), including but not limited to pricing/rebate agreements, master purchase agreements, NDAs, purchase orders, and other agreements.

Review, analyze, and respond to complex Requests for Information for both government and commercial bids.

Manage existing contract systems and processes; enter contracts into the contracts database, perform periodic audits and ensure data quality and integrity of systems. Enforce Global Industrial’s contract review and management policies.

Support compliance with contractual insurance requirements, including reviewing and maintaining certificates of insurance (COIs), coordinating updates with customers and vendors, and tracking compliance with insurance obligations.

Review requests to modify contracts, while working with internal business partners to negotiate terms and obtain approvals for modifications as required, always balancing the risks and Global Industrial’s needs.

Be a champion for a better, faster and simpler way of doing things.

Act as positive ambassador for Legal within the organization, which requires in-office presence as an essential function of the job.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Competencies and skills

Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational skills.

Minimum two years of experience in contract management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe and Smart Sheets.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including the ability to easily convey concepts and priorities to colleagues, customers and cross-functional teams required.

Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

This position will be onsite Monday to Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

The base pay range for this position will be 100,000 to 120,000 annually. The exact pay will be determined by multiple factors unique to each individual, including years of experience, certifications, and the specific location of the job. Rates may vary in other areas due to differing labor costs.
