Overview
Product Management at Weedmaps is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap in order to realize our mission of being the hub for all things cannabis. As the Staff Product Manager for Community, you will lead high‑impact greenfield 0‑1 projects to build the next generation of social and interactive experiences. You will own the creation of product requirements and coordinate across technical, design, and ad monetization teams to develop seamless end‑to‑end experiences in our B2B2C marketplace. Success in this role requires a data‑driven thought leader who can translate complex metrics into meaningful features and craft compelling narratives to secure leadership buy‑in.

Impact you'll make

Lead 0‑1 Initiatives: Drive the strategy and execution of greenfield projects, taking community‑focused concepts from ideation to full‑scale launch.

Define Customer Experience: Define a world‑class customer experience that prioritizes user engagement and connection.

Balance Marketplace Needs: Collaborate with ad monetization and B2B teams to balance revenue goals with a high‑quality consumer experience.

Data‑Driven Roadmap: Translate customer data and market trends into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as a strong communicator, managing diverse feedback from across the organization and building consensus for the product vision.

Roadmap Prioritization: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring all new community features are validated and clearly specified.

Cross‑Functional Leadership: Lead cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Design, Marketing) through influence to implement the vision efficiently.

Performance Tracking: Monitor adoption, usage, and revenue impact of community features, reporting on release impact to executive leadership.

Voice of the Customer: Engage with the community through various channels to serve as the internal advocate for user needs.

Agile Delivery: Strive to deliver high‑quality technology products in a fast‑paced environment where priorities shift rapidly.

What you’ve accomplished

7+ years product management experience in a technological industry

5+ years experience in consumer‑facing online commerce, social, or marketplace

Proven track record of delivering successful, large‑scale consumer‑facing experiences.

Demonstrated experience leading “0‑1” or greenfield product development from concept to market.

Experience navigating B2B2C dynamics, specifically working alongside monetization or ad‑tech teams.

Bonus points

Growth & Virality: Experience designing growth loops and driving feature virality within a social or community context.

Strategic Aptitude: Proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap.

Communication Excellence: Superior persuasion skills and the ability to build buy‑in for bold, innovative visions.

Technical Fluency: Comfort discussing architectural concepts and trade‑offs with engineering partners.

Analytical Rigor: Strong bias toward data‑based decision‑making and comfort with operational analysis.

Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to respond quickly to evolving market threats.

Education
MBA preferred.

Base Pay Range
The base pay range for this position is $194,200.00 – $214,704.00 per year.
