
Senior Product Designer (Remote)

The Senior Product Designers at Weedmaps are principal-level individual contributors who set the vision for design excellence across the product organization. In this role, you will operate as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering leadership, driving initiatives that have company-wide impact and shaping the long-term direction of Weedmaps’ user experience.
You are a systems thinker with a proven ability to influence at scale — aligning design strategy with business outcomes, guiding teams through ambiguity, and ensuring cohesive, high-quality experiences across platforms. Beyond execution, you play a critical role in defining design principles, standards, and best practices that elevate the entire design function.
The impact you'll make
Define and drive design vision for major product domains or company-wide initiatives
Partner with executive-level stakeholders to align design strategy with business goals and long-term roadmap
Lead the most complex, high-impact design challenges across Weedmaps’ ecosystem
Anticipate future user and business needs, proactively shaping solutions and strategy
Establish and evolve design frameworks, principles, and standards used across teams
Provide strategic mentorship to Staff and Senior Designers, helping grow design leadership capability
Influence cross-functional teams through storytelling, data, and compelling design narratives
Ensure design quality, consistency, and accessibility across all Weedmaps products
Represent design in high-level planning, prioritization, and decision-making forums
What you've accomplished
9-12+ years of professional experience in product design, including leadership on enterprise-scale or multi-product systems
An exceptional portfolio demonstrating strategic impact, systems thinking, and influence across organizations
Proven track record of shaping design strategy and driving measurable business outcomes
Deep expertise in research, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
Extensive experience leading and scaling design systems across teams and platforms
Strong experience in B2C and/or B2B SaaS environments
Executive-level communication and influence skills
Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership
Strong understanding of technical constraints and opportunities
Experience defining and operationalizing design maturity at scale
Passion for the cannabis industry and mission-driven work is a plus
The base pay range for this position is $130,386 - $163,606 per year
