Research Analyst
Savvy Wealth, Inc., New York, NY, United States
The Role:
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth fintech at an inflection point, working directly with the CIO to build the next generation of portfolio construction and advisor technology from the ground up.
As a Senior Research Analyst on the SWIM team, you will work directly with the CIO across macro research, portfolio construction, and thought leadership, while also playing a critical role in shaping how our investment capabilities are translated into advisor-facing tools and experiences.
This role sits at the intersection of investing and product. You won't just develop investment insights, you'll help ship them. That means turning research into dashboards, automations, and advisor workflows using the latest AI and data tools.
Your work will directly impact how portfolios are built, how advisors engage with clients, and how Savvy continues to scale its investment platform.
Responsibilities
Drive macro and market research with speed and conviction, leveraging AI tools to go deeper and faster
Support portfolio construction and ongoing enhancements across Savvy Total Portfolios (STP), direct indexing, options overlays, and other offerings
Produce thought leadership content, including market recaps, Portfolio Perspectives, and ad‑hoc research memos
Develop advisor‑facing materials and presentations that translate investment insights into clear, actionable narratives
Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) to build and improve investment tools, dashboards, and analytics
Translate investment concepts into product requirements, helping engineers build intuitive and impactful advisor experiences
Proactively identify and own opportunities to improve portfolio insights, reporting, and advisor workflows across the platform, with an automation‑first mindset
Contribute to the ongoing development and scaling of Savvy’s investment platform
Must Have
You have 5–7 years of investment experience (buy‑side, sell‑side, or allocator)
You have a strong foundation in macroeconomics and multi‑asset portfolio construction
You can connect the dots between markets, portfolios, and implementation
You are able to synthesize complex ideas into clear, concise insights
You are a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and can tailor your message to different audiences
You are naturally curious and spend time thinking about markets beyond what is required
You actively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) in your day‑to‑day workflow and are always looking for ways to automate the repetitive stuff
You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and take full ownership.
You enjoy working cross‑functionally and can effectively collaborate with non‑investment teams (e.g., engineering, product)
You are interested in helping build, not just analyze
Nice to have
Experience working with or supporting multi‑asset portfolios or model portfolios
Familiarity with ETFs, direct indexing, or alternative investments
Experience working with product, engineering, or data teams
Exposure to building dashboards, analytics tools, or investment‑related technology
Strong presentation skills and experience communicating with clients or advisors
Programming or data analysis experience (Python, SQL, etc.)
Experience using AI tools, LLMs, or automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Notion AI, etc.) to meaningfully increase your output
Benefits
Competitive salary and equity package
Unlimited PTO + paid company holidays
Access to holistic medical, dental, and vision plans
Company 401(k), Commuter, and HSA/FSA plans
NYC office in the heart of Manhattan
Lunch and snacks provided in the office
Access to virtual mental health care (Spring Health), vision related benefits (XP Health), and health concierge (Rightway) to help you find the right care
