Summary/Objective

The Press Operator is responsible for operating the machines and equipment used in the manufacturing of plastic injection molded products in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), including visual inspection, trimming, recordkeeping, packaging, and labeling. While performing the duties of this position, the Press Operator is responsible for maintaining a high degree of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsible for operating one or more presses per shift, including operating manual presses within quoted cycle times.
Read and adhere to the information in the Process Operating Manual (POM) including the Point and Touch and any temporary work instructions.
Complete the press sign-in sheet at the start of every shift or after starting a new job.
Perform the essential functions of the job within safety, quality, productivity, and performance standards as defined by company policy, procedures, and applicable work instructions.
Perform an in-process visual inspection of all parts in accordance with the requirements stated in the POM or as otherwise stated per company quality standards.
Calibrate and use the scale to weigh parts as required by POM.
Operate and use all tools safely including cutters, knives, etc.
Document rejected products in IQMS and attribute/SPC charts on an hourly basis.
Identify, properly contain, and label scrap/purging.
Properly and safely use a grinder to re-grind parts according to work instructions.
Reporting any out-of-control conditions to the Shift Lead or Quality Auditor.
Perform any secondary processes.
Package and label products accurately as directed in the POM.
Perform rework as necessary.
Operate machines as assigned and assist co-workers at other workstations as needed.
Clean the machine and surrounding work areas to ensure the housekeeping and safety of the plant.
Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Complete and pass all required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and experience required for the role.

High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Experience working in injection molding or manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge of computers and scanning equipment is preferred.
Must be punctual and dependable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to understand written and verbal communication.

THE ROLE:

Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our team.

Theinjectionmolding machine operator producesa variety of high-quality plastic components fromresin pelletsthatareutilizedbyboth internal and external customers.In this role youwillperform a variety of tasksincludingmonitoring andinspectingpressesas well as performing second operations such as clipping, gating, or sortingby following Standard Operating Procedures and high-quality standards.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 10PM-6AM SUNDAY-FRIDAY

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Usesdifferent fixtures to verify that the dimensions ofthemolded partsarein accordance withquality and work order requirements.
Performs differentoperationson molded products using a variety of cutting tools and techniques and by closely following standard operating procedures.
Safely removes molded parts from the machine conveyor belt or robotic armbyusingappropriate protectivegear and handling tools.
Placesmolded parts in designated cooling area to allow for controlled cooling processes.
Carefully handles molded materials to the oven for baking process.
Packages finished ordersin accordance withspecifications, ensuring proper protection and handling.
UsesSAP and other electronic systems to find,recordand generate documentation throughout theproductionprocess. Records all output and production data in ERP systems andmaintainscompliance with all online training and documentation requirements.
Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline software byutilizingdifferent measuring tools, such as calipers and drop/height indicators.
Escalates quality issues to supervisor or toqualitydepartment as appropriate.Ensuresthe highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy,ISOand/or other standards.
Works with setup technician in the Injection molding department to troubleshoot issues with molding machinesand implement any adjustmentsasneeded.
Collaboratewith materials handler to ensure inventory replenishment of raw materialsfor moldingmachine.
Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughlyand intimely(i.e.Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels,ComponentSheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.).Maintainsaccurateattribute/variable charts of rejected materials.
Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, costeffectivenessandproduct/system quality.Promotes and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value activities.Participateactively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner andobservesapproved safety procedures.Communicates potential hazardsimmediatelyto supervisor.
Completes miscellaneoustasksassigned in support ofthe largerorganization and production goals.
Understand documentation (ASP, DWG,etc) to ensurethe production of quality parts.
UtilizeStopWork Authority (SWA) for both Safety and Quality as needed.

WHAT WE SEEK:

Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
At least one (1) year ofpreviousexperience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Basicproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite software is preferred.
Greatattentionto detail and commitment tomaintaininghigh-quality standards.
Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Understand documented processes and procedures.
Must be able to stand and walk for 50% of the duration of the shift.
Must be able tolift upto 40 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)is required tobeworn at all timeswhile on duty. This includes safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.

THE ROLE:

Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our team.

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 10PM-6AM SUNDAY-FRIDAY

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Usesdifferent fixtures to verify that the dimensions ofthemolded partsarein accordance withquality and work order requirements.

Performs differentoperationson molded products using a variety of cutting tools and techniques and by closely following standard operating procedures.

Safely removes molded parts from the machine conveyor belt or robotic armbyusingappropriate protectivegear and handling tools.

Placesmolded parts in designated cooling area to allow for controlled cooling processes.

Carefully handles molded materials to the oven for baking process.

Packages finished ordersin accordance withspecifications, ensuring proper protection and handling.

UsesSAP and other electronic systems to find,recordand generate documentation throughout theproductionprocess. Records all output and production data in ERP systems andmaintainscompliance with all online training and documentation requirements.

Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline software byutilizingdifferent measuring tools, such as calipers and drop/height indicators.

Escalates quality issues to supervisor or toqualitydepartment as appropriate.Ensuresthe highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy,ISOand/or other standards.

Works with setup technician in the Injection molding department to troubleshoot issues with molding machinesand implement any adjustmentsasneeded.

Collaboratewith materials handler to ensure inventory replenishment of raw materialsfor moldingmachine.

Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughlyand intimely(i.e.Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels,ComponentSheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.).Maintainsaccurateattribute/variable charts of rejected materials.

Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner andobservesapproved safety procedures.Communicates potential hazardsimmediatelyto supervisor.

Completes miscellaneoustasksassigned in support ofthe largerorganization and production goals.

Understand documentation (ASP, DWG,etc) to ensurethe production of quality parts.

UtilizeStopWork Authority (SWA) for both Safety and Quality as needed.

WHAT WE SEEK:

Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.

At least one (1) year ofpreviousexperience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Basic computer and data entry skills.

Basicproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite software is preferred.

Greatattentionto detail and commitment tomaintaininghigh-quality standards.

Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Understand documented processes and procedures.

Must be able to stand and walk for 50% of the duration of the shift.

Must be able tolift upto 40 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)is required tobeworn at all timeswhile on duty. This includes safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.
