Overview
We are seeking a Senior HVAC Design Technician who can step in and contribute immediately to complex industrial facility projects. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to support the development of advanced industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems for high-tech and manufacturing environments. This position is ideal for an experienced designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and operates with a high degree of independence, technical judgment, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design, layout, and routing of industrial building mechanical systems
Develop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details
Perform design tasks across planning, conceptual, and detailed design phases
Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal engineering disciplines
Apply expert knowledge of building mechanical systems and applicable codes to ensure design quality and accuracy
Independently execute design packages with minimal supervision
Support project schedules and deliverables in a collaborative team environment
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
8+ years of AutoCAD design experience
4+ years of Revit design experience
5+ years of industrial building mechanical design experience
Strong working knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes, specifically the International Mechanical Code (IMC)
Proven ability to independently develop and complete design packages
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting complex industrial environments such as:
Semiconductor manufacturing facilities
Cleanrooms
Data centers
Advanced manufacturing facilities
Technical or Associate's degree in a related discipline
Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced problem-solving, planning, and analytical abilities
