Grimm + Parker Architects, an award-winning, regional community architecture firm with both public and private sector clients (civic, cultural, educational, multi-family residential and urban design). We are a diverse group of creative architects, designers and professionals who aspire to make our communities sustainable, wonderful place to live, learn and play! This position is an integral role within our Charlottesville studio. **Job Summary:**
The Project Architect works as a collaborative team member under the guidance and direction of studio PMs. Competencies in all conventional aspects of architecture, ideally experienced in multi-family residential project types and K-12. Performs work in all phases of projects from concept design to close out, requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection and adaptation of standard techniques, and procedures. Consistent work with digital design tools; Revit.
Site and field work in CA phases will be included in normal scope of responsibilities. Independently solves problems encountered while also receiving technical guidance on unusual or complex issues.
**Required Qualifications:**
Architectural Degree from accredited program License preferred or very near to licensure, 5+ years of experience in professional architecture firm environment, experience with multi-family and familiarity with K-12 and higher ed a plus. Revit proficiency, and online document management software like Procore, Newforma, etc.
Familiarity with Green Communities, Virginia Housing/LIHTC preferred.
Collaborative team player with Construction Administration experience required.
