Business Development Manager

A leading industrial safety solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth through its distribution network within the Chemical Safety product portfolio. This role is heavily focused on expanding and optimizing channel partnerships while increasing pull-through demand with key end users.
You’ll play a critical role in strengthening distributor engagement, identifying new channel opportunities, and driving product adoption across targeted vertical markets.
What You’ll Do Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth through existing distribution partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, branch leaders, and field sales teams to increase product visibility and adoption.
Identify, recruit, and onboard new distribution partners in underpenetrated markets and target verticals.
Generate demand by engaging key end-users and aligning them with preferred distribution partners.
Collaborate closely with distributor sales teams through joint customer visits, training sessions, and business planning initiatives.
Increase share of wallet within distributor accounts by promoting adoption of the broader product portfolio.
Leverage independent manufacturer representative groups to support distributor growth and ongoing channel activities.
Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify gaps, growth opportunities, and channel expansion strategies.
Partner with internal sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment between channel strategy and overall business objectives.
Support the growth of e-commerce channels in alignment with the broader distribution strategy.
What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with or managing distribution channels, preferably within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth through indirect sales models and partner networks.
Strong relationship-building skills with distributors, representatives, and end-users.
Experience in account planning, negotiation, and execution of channel strategies.
