Consumer Insights Senior Analyst

As a Consumer Insights Senior Analyst, you’ll play a key part in driving this success for the future. This role will provide the opportunity to apply strategic thinking, problem solving, and data analytics to unique and complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver actionable consumer insights that help the organization measure and track the CarMax customer experience.
Design reporting that brings customer feedback to life.
Understand how consumers shop for and sell cars.
Design and test new experiences to meet evolving consumer demand.
Design and manage research/analysis initiatives, utilizing in-depth knowledge of CarMax’s business and market research expertise.
Analyze research/data and translate results into clear and useful business insights.
Act as a subject matter expert for customer and survey data, consulting with stakeholders on strategic opportunities and priorities.
Create and distribute reports to influence strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications & Requirements
Four‑year degree in an analytical field and/or the social sciences.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical thinker with a proven track record of providing actionable insights and clear strategic direction.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver work.
Experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, reporting tools, and relational databases required.

Work Arrangement & Location
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the CarMax Midtown Office (Richmond, VA) and associates will work onsite 5 days per week.
