The Opportunity
For our Global Diagnostics Customer Experience & Solution Design Chapter (DIA CXSD), we seek a motivated Design Lead with experience managing multiple design projects and a passion for transforming user and customer experience in healthcare.
In this role you will bring design management, design and research expertise and demonstrate leadership and a solution/CX mindset.
Design Leads also shape and manage Design Operations capabilities, support strategic direction and evolving needs within the chapter.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Set project design scope, timeline, and key milestones, acting as liaison between business, R&D and design.
Supervise delivery across multiple project teams, conduct periodic alignment meetings and maintain close relationships with business and R&D.
Lead the team to synthesize insights and map CX/solution/product opportunities.
Apply systems thinking and understand technical architectures and cross‑platform data/workflow dependencies.
Build rapport, emanate confidence, and inspire when advising business, R&D and design teams.
Integrate business objectives with customer and user needs throughout the design process.
Who You Are
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Design (medical background a plus).
Inspiring, hands‑on leader with a strong track record in design delivery, operations, and team management.
Proven expertise in healthcare product and service design, including research and insights analysis.
Experience successfully bringing products or services to market and familiarity with highly regulated environments (Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, IVD).
Strong ability to influence within complex, matrixed organizations.
Confident engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Location
This position is based in Tucson, AZ.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $114,400 - $212,400. Pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
