
Production Manager – Food Equipment Manufacturing

Responsibilities
Oversee all shop‑floor stainless‑steel manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, safety, and labor management are consistently met
Lead, train, evaluate, and discipline production staff while coordinating closely with the 1st Shift Manager and Director of Manufacturing for smooth shift transitions and employee issue resolution
Maintain production schedules, track labor hours, manage procurement needs, and ensure accurate, timely completion of all production documentation
Monitor material availability, maintain proper raw‑material inventory levels, and address equipment, facility, and maintenance issues to support uninterrupted operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and communicate required engineering changes or corrections through the Director of Manufacturing
Qualifications
The candidate must have a proven track record managing a production team of 25 or more employees, with full responsibility for hiring, training, performance management, termination decisions, and workforce growth
A minimum of 5 years of management experience in sheet metal fabrication is required; 10 years is strongly preferred
Hands-on experience in stainless steel fabrication
Experience in mechanical equipment manufacturing is considered a valuable additional qualification
Candidates with direct experience in commercial foodservice equipment fabrication a plus.
