Job Summary
Key responsibilities of this position include:

50% primary contact duties for assigned sports ¿ Is the primary contact for assigned sports. This includes all management and content of our athletics website (managing the public-facing roster, schedule, pregame stories, recap stories) as well as creating game note packages used by broadcasters to commentate games on ESPN+ and working home events and covering road events

35% social media content creation ¿ creating captivating gameday graphics, score graphics, and other stat graphics as well as video pieces for social media accounts

10% on-campus marketing and promotion ¿ going on campus to promote our home events

5% active recruiting for student staff ¿ using their connections in their field to recruit student assistants and interns

Required Qualifications
To be considered for a graduate assistantship at the University of West Georgia (UWG), students must meet the following criteria:

Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions.

Hold a Bachelor¿s degree from an accredited institution.

Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing.

Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Experience in an Athletics Communications Office at the NCAA Level

Proposed Salary

A monthly stipend of $1000.00 per month

A tuition waiver, reducing your graduate tuition to $25 per semester plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship
