Business Development Analyst

Muon Space is looking for a Business Development (BD) Analyst who will be working with a team responsible for securing existing and winning new business. The BD Analyst is responsible for pipeline and customer engagement data analysis at the Organization level, driving process improvement and data integrity across multiple different portfolios. This role includes marketing and communications support for BD, market research, reporting metrics, CRM-efficiency, and pipeline management. The BD Analyst position will collaborate across the Account teams including BD, Marketing, Mission Engineering, contracts, export, government affairs, and finance. The position is based in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia area and reports to the Senior Director, International Business Development. Remote work will be considered, but expect this role to be in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary lead for CRM activity and reporting; responsible for data integrity, automation, BD metrics. Experience with Hubspot CRM is a plus.

Responsible for pipeline velocity, in plan progress for top opportunities and pipeline management

Partner with Finance and Contracts on gross award reconciliations and book-to-bill analysis

Supports preparation efforts for leadership briefings and account plans

Supports development of BD reporting including weekly, period close metrics, quarterly forecasting and annual operation plan.

Perform market research on the market trends and measure the results against current pipeline targets/timing.

Perform research to include customer preferences and competitive analysis.

Coordinate conferences and tradeshow activities across Accounts and collaborate with Marketing team on cross-coordinated conferences Muon participates

Support Operation-level events to include financial/budget components, processes and deliverables execution; support marketing events include but are not limited to trade shows, customer engagement, and executive level prep material

Interacts routinely with the Contracts, Mission Engineering, Muon leadership team, functional POCs, and staff.

Track Opportunities in (but not limited to) SAM.GOV , SPACEWERX, GOVWIN, GSA, T4NG, etc.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or Master with at least 3 years of prior relevant experience

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment, gain consensus, accept correction and development recommendations, and deliver on expectations

Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization

Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance

Nice-to-Haves:

High energy, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit

Strong financial acumen (understanding of backlog, factoring, book-to-bill)

Knowledge of Government Contractor's proposal process and development

Experience in sales and/or Marketing

BD Internship or inside sales experience is a plus

Active Secret security clearance

The salary range for this role is $118,000 to 143,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.

At Muon salary is only part of our total compensation package.
