The individual in this position assists the DCQI in the operations of the hospital's Quality/Performance improvement program. Supports quality and process improvement efforts identified in the hospital. Responsible for data tracking/collection and trending. Coordinates, assists, and advises on a variety of meetings, seminars, services, and/or programs related to the overall Quality/Performance Improvement program. Coordinates hospital-wide performance improvement activities under the direction of the DCQI.
Responsibilities
Coordinating integration and management of the Quality/Performance Improvement Program with the guidance of the DCQI to meet regulatory requirements including Joint Commission and state statutes, to identify performance improvement opportunities to enhance the organization's outcomes.
Carries out the assignments as delegated by the DCQI, and coordinates reports, correspondence, and information as needed.
Collaborates with the department directors to compile and generate reports for analysis and interpretation for the Quality/Performance Improvement department/Committee.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with a bachelor's degree ot higher in a patient care related field.
Experience:
3 years of experience in QA/PI.
Certifications:
Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy.
Preferred: CPHQ or other certification in Healthcare Quality.
