Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm or 1pm-9pm

Preliminary License Pay:

$34 and up

Independent License Pay:

$37/hr and up

IOP Clinician
The IOP Clinician is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. The IOP Clinician will be responsible for patient caseload and will provide group, individual, and family therapy. The IOP Clinician will conduct psychosocial and bio‑psychosocial assessments. This Clinician will collaborate with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assist in coordinating discharge planning. The IOP Clinician has primary responsibility for maintaining communication with the family, referral source and other service providers as needed.

Core Job Duties

Provide excellent individual, family and group therapy to assigned patients following program curriculum provided by Clinical Director.

Complete all required documentation ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulations, Joint Commission standards and Medical Needs Criteria. Includes the following documents:

Admission Documents and Consent

Biopsychosocial Assessment and Integrated Summary (72 hours)

Comprehensive Problem List

Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates (24‑72 hours based off payer)

ASAMs (24 hours, based on state standards)

Individual, family and group therapy session notes (24 hours)

Discharge Summary (72 hours)

Prior and ongoing outreach to prospective and current patients to ensure program engagement to meet expected conversion rate.

Use substance abuse and co‑occurring therapeutic interventions and de‑escalation techniques to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans, goals and objectives and successfully complete treatment.

Assess patients for substance use disorders, risk to self or others and co‑occurring mental health disorders.

Use therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans, goals and objectives and successfully complete treatment.

Manage aftercare recommendations and support that will prepare patient for maintaining successful recovery.

Provide caseload management as per state requirements.

Participate in crisis intervention with patients as needed.

Participate with multidisciplinary teams such as Financial Case Managers to provide appropriate aftercare planning and securing resources.

Complete documentation daily to meet metrics of 92% completion within compliance.

Other Required Tasks

Attend daily meetings as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Maintain positive relationships with all staff.

Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews.

Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff.

Ask for and accept feedback from supervisors.

Provide a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.

Communicate significant patient developments to supervisor.

Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to the success of the organization.

Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs.

Contribute positively to the morale of other staff members.

Provide licensure supervision as needed and assigned by Clinical Director.

Perform other tasks, as assigned, with flexibility in scheduling based on program needs.

Education

Masters’ Degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field required.

Credentials

Must also hold one of the following licenses in the State of WA:

LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)

LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)

LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)

LMHCA (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate)

LSWAIC (Licensed Social Work Associate & Independent Clinical)

LMFTA (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate)

Must be certified in the State of WA with a SUDP / SUDPT or willing to obtain it.

CPR and BFA Certification required.

Experience

Minimum two (2) years of work experience in behavioral health field required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.

Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.

Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards.

Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical records utilizing HeatherAI.

Proficient in documenting medical standards per ASAM and Locus criteria.
