
Business Development Coordinator

Responsibilities
Support Business Development Managers with attorney and practice group coaching and client development growth plans, including helping to identify priorities, supporting plan development, and tracking progress against agreed initiatives
Maintain practice, firm, and notable representative matters profiles and related directories
Maintain attorney bios and experience and representative matters records so they remain current and accurate
Partner with Business Development Managers to develop, update, and quality-check practice group and industry group content for the website and related marketing materials, ensuring descriptions, representative matters, and key messages are current, accurate, and consistent across platforms
Support client development and growth by assisting Business Development Managers and practice teams with client events and entertainment strategy, coordinating with the Events team and liaising with Marketing to align target audiences, messaging, and follow up efforts
Support Business Development Managers and practice teams with rankings and awards submissions by assisting with submission strategy and messaging, coordinating input across practices, and liaising with Marketing to ensure content is current, accurate, and consistent across materials
Support Business Development Managers and practice teams with client alerts and other client communications by assisting with topic planning and messaging, coordinating inputs and approvals, and liaising with Marketing to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent distribution across channels
Maintain the database of new client industries and provide monthly practice group analysis reports
Administrative
Provide support to the Business Development Managers
Process invoices and expense reports, including use of the department credit card and timely reconciliation of charges and supporting documentation
Provide back‑up administrative support for the department, including mailings, copying, document editing, and delivery of materials to other areas of the firm, as needed
Proofread, edit, and draft marketing materials as needed
Experience Required
3+ years of business development or marketing experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Law firm experience preferred (not mandatory).
Candidate must be energetic and detailed‑oriented.
Must be a team player, work independently, meet multiple tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability and confidence to work with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including familiarity with spreadsheets, HTML, web maintenance tools, and CRM systems. Demonstrated accuracy in typing, spelling, and proofreading.
Education
B.A. or B.S. preferred
MA Applicants: Please note that the target base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's years of experience, skills, qualifications, and office location.
