The Mechanical Assembler III works independently, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures systems meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble complex mechanical systems and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Support the mechanical assembly function during field installations and customer site support
- Fabricate and install piping, valves, tanks, pumps, and structural supports u
- Perform MIG/TIG welding and grinding as necessary to support system fabrication
- Interpret and troubleshoot mechanical systems, resolving build issues independently
- Coordinate with electrical and controls teams to ensure complete mechanical integration
- Conduct functional testing and perform final quality inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocol
- Demonstrated years of mechanical assembly, fabrication, or related technical experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, P&IDs, and schematics
- Skilled welding capabilities (ability to weld for overhead lifting)
- Experienced in pipe fitting, pumps, pneumatic systems, and hydraulics
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and positive attitude
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and managing deadlines
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, working in hot/cold environments, and carrying tools up/down ladders
- Ability to safely use forklift, scissors lift, and cranes
