About the role
The Partner Business Development Manager (PBDM) – IBM, West Region is responsible for driving strategic alignment, pipeline growth, and revenue expansion between Insight and IBM across the Insight West region. This role serves as the primary liaison between Insight West region sellers and IBM sales teams, ensuring consistent execution of IBM gotomarket motions, program adoption, and solutionled selling. The PBDM is accountable for accelerating IBM revenue, increasing share of wallet, and strengthening Insight’s position as a trusted IBM partner throughout the West region.
What you’ll do
Support Insight West region field and inside sales teams, coordinating joint execution with IBM West region sellers and specialists.
Lead West region account mapping, deal strategy sessions, pipeline huddles, and recurring cadence calls aligned to IBM sales motions.
Serve as the primary IBM point of contact for Insight sellers across the West region.
Drive pipeline and revenue growth for IBM hardware, software, services, and hybrid cloud solutions within the West region.
Increase Share of Wallet (SOW) across existing West region accounts and expand netnew IBM opportunities.
Enable West region sellers on IBM use cases, competitive positioning, and regional sales priorities.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of channel IT experience, with direct experience supporting or selling IBM solutions.
Demonstrated success working with Tier 1 vendors, specifically IBM.
Proven ability to exceed sales and pipeline targets in a partner‑led environment.
Strong prospecting, deal orchestration, and executive‑level communication skills.
Working knowledge of IBM product portfolios, programs, and partner ecosystem.
