We partner with architects, contractors, and manufacturers to deliver practical, buildable solutions across commercial, residential, and specialty structures.
Position Summary We are seeking a Specialty Structural Engineer in Training with 0–3 years of experience (internships included) who is interested in delegated design and glazing engineering. This role offers hands-on project work, daily client interaction, and opportunities to develop technical skills while working toward licensure in a collaborative environment. Engineers with delegated design structural or mechanical engineering backgrounds often find this type of work especially rewarding.
Responsibilities Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with delegated design services for glazing, aluminum storefronts, guardrails, blast-resistant structures, and other specialty systems.
Perform structural calculations using company tools and software, as well as by hand when needed.
Prepare calculation packages for review by Professional Engineers.
Review and redline glazing system shop drawings, elevations, sections, and details.
Evaluate design alternatives, wind design information, and constructability considerations.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure compliance with codes, project requirements, and office standards.
Interact directly with new and existing clients.
Provide technical support to team members as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
0–3 years of engineering experience, or equivalent internship experience with delegated design.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or actively working toward it.
Knowledge of structural loads, free body diagrams, steel/glass/aluminum properties, and basic beam design.
Experience with engineering design software, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary range: $63,000–$65,000 (depending on experience).
