Housing Navigator
Location: Dallas, TX 75247 | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
$25+/hr BOE
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (60-minute lunch)
Temporary; potential Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire
Role Impact
The Housing Navigator supports rapid housing placement efforts by guiding households through application, lease-up, and initial stabilization. This role ensures timely unit approvals, compliant documentation, and smooth move-ins for 40-50 active households. Success is measured by reduced time to lease-up, complete and accurate documentation, and improved housing stability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule unit viewings with landlords and property managers
Collect required documents, enroll households in HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) and Padmission Journey, and submit housing applications
Conduct or coordinate unit inspections, complete habitability and safety documentation, and confirm rent reasonableness compliance
Prepare and submit Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) packets; track status and follow up to prevent move-in delays
Support lease signing, utility setup, and move-in coordination; conduct post move-in check-ins and monitor housing stability
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in housing navigation, leasing, property coordination, or case management
Ability to manage 40-50 active households and multiple timelines simultaneously
Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills

Padmission Journey
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Digital document management systems
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with rent reasonableness determinations and housing compliance standards
Experience working with landlords, property managers, and vulnerable populations
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
